Choosing the right facility for your scuba career training is not easy. At the Eastern Academy of Scuba Education (EASE) we are committed to providing you with the most current and comprehensive training to help you attain your career goals in the dive industry. The Deep Six family of Dive and Watersports stores has been providing diving services and equipment sales on the east coast of Florida since 1979.  Our headquarters is located in the main Deep Six retail facility in Vero Beach, Florida.  Vero Beach is located on the Atlantic coast, about one hour south of the Kennedy Space Center and only two hours from Orlando and Walt Disney World.

In 1992, the Eastern Academy of Scuba Education was established to provide PADI Instructor Training. EASE is licensed by the Florida State Board of Independent Post Secondary Vocational, Technical, Trade and Business Schools.  As one of only a handful of facilities to be awarded the prestigious rating of PADI 5 Star Career Development Center, EASE has been recognized for providing the highest standards of diver and Instructor training. We offer a complete range of PADI training programs from beginning level through Instructor, as well as a wide variety of continuing education and career enhancement courses for the PADI Instructor.
Facilities.
Our training facility, just a few minutes north of Vero Beach, is located on three acres of peaceful, secluded woodland and provides the ultimate setting for your Instructor training. The facility is completely self-contained and includes a classroom, pool, and accommodation.  The easy accessibility of the classroom provides the ideal venue for you to study or prepare your IDC assignments after normal class hours. Our beautiful on-site 25' x 50' pool is a convenient setting for perfecting your confined water skills at any time during your stay at EASE.

Open water training for our Instructor Development Courses is conducted at a private lake only 5 minutes from our facility.  The lake provides a more stable and predictable teaching environment which is not affected by the weather problems we might face if using an ocean location. It's close proximity to our facility preserves valuable training time otherwise spent on travel.  The lake is also used by PADI for conducting the open water evaluation phases of the Vero Beach Instructor Examinations. 
Accommodation and Meals Included.

When budgeting  for your career training, not only do you normally have to take into consideration the fees for the courses you will be taking, you also have to account for the additional costs of hotel accommodation, meals, and possibly car rental.  If you were planning to take courses over a three week period these additional costs could be substantial. However, when you take a training program at EASE which includes our Instructor Development Course (IDC), you will be entitled to FREE accommodation and meals for the duration of your stay with us. This offer for free accommodation is only available for up to ten people at each IDC, on a first-come, first-served basis.

When taking courses at other facilities you will waste considerable time and effort traveling back and forth between your hotel and the training center, as well as trying to organize your meals. At EASE we have eliminated these problems, allowing you to concentrate on your career training, not on logistics. You will find that we are the ONLY PADI Career Development Center which has true on-site accommodation and meals included in our training programs. We invite you to calculate the savings you will personally make when taking your training with EASE.  If you are planning to take additional courses with us immediately after being successful at the  Instructor Examination, the costs you will save on accommodation and meals alone will probably pay for these courses.
Personal Attention.
Every person taking our programs is important to us. So, at EASE you will not be treated as a number. We like to keep our classes small so that we can give you all the personal attention you need and deserve. Throughout your course you will receive individualized counseling and feedback regarding your performance.  We want you not only to be able to easily pass the Instructor Examination, but to thoroughly prepare you to begin your career in the dive industry. Our dedicated team of experienced Course Directors and Staff Instructors are always available at the facility after hours to help you with academic study or IDC assignments.  An EASE Course Director will also attend the PADI Instructor Examination with you, giving you added support and confidence.

Job Placement.
The job placement service at EASE is built around a sophisticated Internet-based system. We frequently update our extensive list of potential employers, including resorts, liveaboards, retail facilities  and cruise-ship operators.  We also take advantage of PADI's Job Placement Service.  Please bring your resume with you and we will be happy to distribute it to the employers on our list.  Generally, within a week or so, potential employers contact us requesting more information on candidates they may be interested in employing. See our Job Placement page for more information.

Our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with the training you receive at EASE. Our pledge is to give you individual attention during your training with us. If you are in any way displeased and we can not resolve the matter favorably, we will offer you a full refund or repetition of the course at no-charge.  If you are unsuccessful at the PADI Instructor Examination, you may attend another IDC at EASE, paying only for accommodation and meals.

 As an EASE candidate/graduate, you will be entitled to up to 30% discount on the retail prices of dive equipment from select manufacturers at our Deep Six retail stores. You can also purchase your PADI materials directly from us, taking advantage of our quantity discount  rates. You will always get the next best quantity price from what you order.  For example, if you order 1-10 items, your cost per item will be at the lower 11-20 items rate.
