PADI Open water Scuba Instructor Course (5 days).

The PADI OWSI Course is the core of the PADI Instructor training process. The goal of the program is to prepare you to function as an effective PADI Instructor by thoroughly familiarizing you with the PADI system and all its diver training programs. You will draw upon your current skills and knowledge while learning how to conduct classroom, pool and open water teaching sessions. While successful completion of the IDC will prepare you to easily pass the Instructor Examination, this is not the focus of the course we conduct at EASE. Our program is specifically designed to arm you with the basic skills and knowledge you will need to begin your career as a scuba Instructor.  Please note that the OWSI processing fee is not included in the OWSI course fee and must be paid to PADI. OWSI Prerequisites: OWSI Candidates should be certified as a PADI Assistant Instructor or Instructor from another diver training organization. They must be at least 18years old, have been certified as a diver for 6 months and have 60 logged dives (including experience in deep, night and navigation diving).

Candidates must also have proof of completing CPR and First Aid training within the previous 24 months, and provide documentation of having a medical examination within the previous 12 months showing fitness for diving.

Candidates who have completed any of their previous training through diver training organizations other than PADI, must be able to provide copies of their certification cards or other documentation.

Independent Learning Prerequisites:

Prior to the start of the OWSI Course, candidates are required to have completed all 16 Knowledge Reviews in the Instructor Candidate Workbook.
